Helping Tweens, Teens, and Young Adult Girls with ADHD and Anxiety
Feel Confident, Capable, and Connected
Support for tweens, teens, and families navigating overwhelm, friendships, school stress, and big emotions in Huntington, NY.
You Know She’s Struggling, Even If No One Else Sees It...
She’s bright, funny, creative, and capable, but behind the scenes your daughter with ADHD may be struggling more than anyone realizes. She may struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, masking, disorganization, emotional overwhelm, and constant stress around school or friendships.
At school, she may look like she is holding it all together, but once she gets home, everything spills out and you are left feeling overwhelmed and wondering how to help.

As her parent, you feel it too. You may feel like you are walking on eggshells, trying to keep the peace while worrying about her future. Will she find her confidence? Will she make meaningful friendships? Will life always feel this hard for her?
That kind of worry can feel heavy and lonely.
If you found your way to my site, I want you to know there is hope. You are not failing, and your daughter is not broken. With the right support, your daughter can thrive.
I help girls, tweens, and teens with ADHD and anxiety better understand themselves, build confidence, and develop the tools they need to feel calmer, stronger, and more connected.

ADHD and Anxiety Therapy for Girls; There Is Hope
I see you, and I see your daughter. You are not alone. When girls receive support from someone who truly understands ADHD, anxiety, and emotional regulation, everything can begin to change.

Mom, you no longer feel stuck in daily battles or exhausted from trying to figure it all out alone. You learn how to connect with your daughter in ways that actually help, and she begins responding differently too. Your relationship becomes calmer, closer, and more peaceful.

Your daughter's confidence begins to grow. She starts speaking up in class, trying new activities, joining clubs, and feeling more comfortable socially. Friendships become healthier and more natural. School becomes more manageable. Home feels less stressful.

Her emotions no longer control every part of the day. She feels more regulated, empowered, and capable. She begins to understand that ADHD and anxiety do not define her.

And perhaps most importantly, you begin to feel hopeful again. You can see that her future is bright. With the right therapy, she can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

At The Social Mind Counseling, we help girls build confidence, resilience, and lasting success.

I’m So Glad You’re Here
No, seriously. I’m really glad you found your way here.
For many families, it takes a long time to reach the point of saying, "We need support." You may have tried the books, the podcasts, online tips, workbooks, or every strategy the internet promised would help, and yet your daughter is still struggling.

If that’s where you are right now, take a breath. You’re in the right place.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Cold Spring Harbor, and for more than 13 years I’ve worked with neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults. Over time, I discovered a true passion and strength in helping girls with ADHD and anxiety whether that looks like social anxiety, generalized anxiety, perfectionism, overwhelm, or constantly feeling not enough.

When your daughter walks into my office, she does not need to be anyone but herself. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and judgment free. Fidget toys? Absolutely. Movement breaks? No problem. Real conversations? Always!

I teach girls and parents the tools they actually need to create change outside of session, because let’s be honest, 45 minutes a week alone is not enough to transform daily life.

I’ve watched girls go from:
-
No way, I can’t do that
-
Everyone is judging me
-
I’m bad at everything
To saying:
-
I’ve got this!
-
I can handle hard things!
-
I'm so proud of myself!

Will it take effort sometimes? Yes! Of course!
Remember, growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone. And you do not have to do it alone! At The Social Mind Counseling, support is here and real change is possible. Want to learn more about my credentials and all that other stuff parents want to know?
